Project equipping children with essential water safety

and rescue skills

In 2023 I founded AquaGuard, a hands-on initiative dedicated to equipping children with essential water-safety and lifesaving skills. As a lifelong swimmer, I recognized early on how crucial basic rescue knowledge is for young people. From the outset, my aim has been simple yet personal: to help children feel confident and safe whenever they enter the water.

Through AquaGuard I partnered closely with the Da Nang Sea Rescue Center to deliver practical training sessions. Together we reached over 150 children (ages 5–12), teaching core water-safety skills such as how to recognize dangerous rip currents, safe swimming techniques, and emergency distress signals. Watching the children listen attentively and respond enthusiastically to hands-on drills was deeply moving, I felt proud to contribute vital, potentially life-saving knowledge to the community.

I also designed and led the program “One Hour with Rescuers” at Hoa Mai Orphanage, where we ran realistic practice scenarios from basic first aid for drowning victims to safe navigation on rivers and coastal areas. To reinforce prevention and awareness, my team and I distributed 60 “Safety Backpacks” to the children — each containing a child-sized life jacket, a backpack, an educational comic on hazard recognition, and safety-label stickers. Seeing the children don their new backpacks and retain the lessons we taught was one of the most rewarding moments of the project.

Initiative to revive computers by collecting and reassembling used PC components

Reboot Hope is a volunteer club that my friends and I founded, and thanks to their trust, I was elected as the club’s president. At Reboot Hope, we not only discuss fascinating topics in technology but also carry out community-oriented projects. Our most notable initiative was collecting old computer parts, refurbishing them into functional computers, and donating them to children in need. This project not only helped reduce electronic waste but also gave underprivileged students access to technology and digital learning opportunities.

As the leader, I coordinated the team’s workflow, delegated specific tasks, and motivated members to stay committed. Through our collective effort, we successfully assembled and donated five fully functional computers to Hoa Mai Orphanage Center. Despite facing several challenges - such as accidentally damaging a motherboard during wiring and mismanaging part of the project’s budget - I learned valuable lessons about responsibility, precision, and financial planning. The unwavering encouragement and trust from my teammates deeply moved me and inspired me to grow into a more accountable and resilient leader.

Head of Specialist

STEM education project for orphans

From late 2024 to October 2025, I served as Head of Specialist for All STEM. The program aimed to spark children’s interest in science and technology through hands-on learning. Each week, I led computer science classes for 68 students, teaching typing, basic software, Internet safety, and beginner programming with Scratch and Python. I also launched an advanced training course for 10 students preparing for the 2025 Da Nang Youth Informatics Competition, where five earned consolation prizes. Seeing their confidence and curiosity grow reaffirmed my belief that STEM education can empower every child to shape a brighter future.

Vice President

A charity project aimed at bringing practical technology solutions closer to the elderly

Inspired by my love for older generations, I launched the “Technology Within Reach” program at Thien Tam An Nursing Home, where I taught seniors to use smartphones for video calls, music, and memory games. I also led a small team to develop a smart medication reminder device that alerts users and notifies family members when it’s time to take medicine. Seeing seniors connect with loved ones and use our device with confidence reminded me that technology should bridge generations - not divide them.

Vice President

Our Beloved Summer

volunteer club

In summer 2024, I served as Vice President for Our Beloved Summer, a volunteer club supporting underprivileged children before the school year. I coordinated snack-selling campaigns across five schools, raising $1,000, and led the “Uniforms for School” campaign, which secured $3,500 to provide 50 uniforms and learning kits for students at Thuong Loc 1 Primary School. The experience strengthened my leadership and teamwork skills while showing how small actions can bring lasting impact.
